Yoga Classes in & around Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire
Calming, nurturing, beginner-friendly & welcoming
My weekly classes are friendly, calm and welcoming, whether you're new to yoga or coming back after a break.
We work with foundational yoga postures, breath and relaxation, with options throughout the class so you can adapt things to suit your body. Some days you may feel like doing more; other days you may need to take things a little more gently. Both are part of the practice.
You don't need to know anything about yoga to come along. You don't need to touch your toes, keep up with anyone else or arrive feeling a certain way. I'm much more interested in helping you notice how something feels and find an approach that works for you.
Each class gives you time to explore movement, build strength and mobility, and notice how your body feels. There is no expectation to make a pose look a certain way or to push through discomfort. Instead, you are encouraged to listen, explore and find what feels right for you.
You might come for the movement, but it's often what happens around the movement that stays with you.

For 75 minutes, you get to step away from everything else. Nothing outside the room has changed, but you may leave feeling different — more settled, more connected, perhaps a little softer.
Listening to the body is one of the most powerful things you can learn to do
A regular space in your week
Life can get very full. Work, family, looking after other people and all the everyday things that need doing can leave surprisingly little time to notice how we are doing ourselves.
That's one of the things I love about a regular yoga class. For 75 minutes, you can put some of that down and give your attention to yourself.
There's time to move and explore what your body needs that day, but also time to breathe, rest and simply be still. You don't have to achieve anything before you leave.
Booking a block of classes gives you the opportunity to settle into the practice and enjoy a sense of continuity. You begin to recognise familiar faces, settle into the rhythm of coming each week and get to know the people around you.
For some, it's the movement that keeps them coming. For others, it's having something in the diary that's just for them — a regular pause in the week and a chance to reconnect with themselves and with others.
Notice We begin by noticing how you are today, rather than arriving with an expectation of how you should feel.
Feel We pay attention to sensations, breath and the body's responses, learning to listen rather than push through.
Connect Movement becomes a way of reconnecting with your body and yourself.
Move We explore accessible yoga movement with plenty of options. You don't need to be flexible, strong or experienced.
Soften And amongst all the movement, there is space to pause, breathe and let go of some of the effort.
